Full Job Description
Our client is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and run machines that produce precision parts. This position is a real career opportunity, and you can earn up to $40 as an experienced machine operator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machines to produce precision parts
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Measure parts and log production data using computer systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Complete daily production and quality control logs
- Follow SQC practices and control charts to maintain product specifications
- Perform equipment/part changeovers as skills progress
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Communicate effectively across shifts
- Occasionally operate forklift to maintain raw material supply
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude required (hands-on mechanical experience strongly preferred)
- Machine operator experience helpful but not required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred
- Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators)
- Basic computer skills for production logging and documentation
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Advanced skills are a plus: CNC programming, lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, cutoff saw experience
