Job Summary
As our Salon Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of our salon and play a key role in creating a seamless, elevated experience for every client. This role is ideal for someone who is polished, personable, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
Weekend and evening availability is required, with shifts scheduled from 3:00 PM–9:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and waitlists
- Answer phones, texts, and emails with prompt, friendly, and professional communication
- Check clients in and out efficiently while ensuring a smooth overall experience
- Process payments, gift cards, and retail transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, polished, and organized front desk and reception area
- Coordinate closely with stylists and salon leadership to support smooth daily operations
- Monitor the salon schedule and anticipate client and stylist needs
- Educate clients on salon services, products, and policies when appropriate
- Handle client questions, requests, and concerns with grace and professionalism
- Support retail sales and maintain an inviting, well-presented retail area
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and other front-of-house tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Warm, polished, and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in a busy salon environment
- Comfortable using salon scheduling software, POS systems, phones, email, and basic computer applications
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Prior experience in a salon, spa, hotel, hospitality, or luxury retail environment preferred
- Passion for beauty, fashion, wellness, or the salon industry is a plus
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
