Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Operations Manager to lead and optimize daily store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers and a productive environment for staff. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of store management, including inventory control, sales performance, staff supervision, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system oversight to ensure smooth business flow.
- Lead and supervise retail sales teams by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance sales effectiveness and customer service quality.
- Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize product availability and minimize shrinkage.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and vendor negotiations to secure optimal pricing and product assortment aligned with store goals.
- Implement employee orientation programs, conduct interviewing sessions for new hires, and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor payroll costs, and perform bookkeeping duties to maintain financial health of the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational standards while fostering a positive work environment through effective managerial communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or operations management with supervising experience in a retail setting.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems operation, purchasing, and cash handling.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills and managerial communication expertise.
- Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques including retail math for pricing and sales analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using time management skills; organizational skills are essential.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic math proficiency along with excellent customer service skills to ensure a welcoming shopping environment.
