Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Host will manage guest relations, ensure smooth seating arrangements, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in our restaurant. We will be starting at minimum wage but tip will be included as well which is dispersed by servers based off of percentage.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring optimal seating arrangements.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize phone etiquette to take reservations or answer questions over the phone.
- Assist in training new staff on guest service standards and restaurant procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with food service operations and guest relations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
