The Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. This person will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the kennel and performing various duties within the kennel. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients and fellow staff members.

General Description of Position:
The Pet Resort Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, daily care, and well-being of the pets within the Pet Resort (both boarding and daycare).
Job Requirements/Skills/Physical Demands:
Walk and/or handle dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Medicate pets according to verbal and written instructions from clients or CVVH hospital staff
- Monitor and accurately record the pet’s activities, including bowel movements, urination, food intake, medication administered, etc.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Observe, monitor, and report any concerns regarding changes in pet’s behavior or health
- Clean and properly dispose of pet waste
- Monitor the dog playgroup to ensure the safety of the dogs as well as other team members
- Provide excellent customer experience to all clients of the Pet Resort
- Schedule boarding and daycare appointments using appropriate computer software
- Collect payment from Pet Resort clients
- Work cooperatively with all other members of the CVVH team.
- Ensure all pets within the Pet Resort have met the health and vaccination requirements to attend boarding and dog daycare.
- Feed and water pets according to verbal and written instructions.
- Launder bedding and towels
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all areas of the Pet Resort.
Work Environment:
Large state-of-the-art animal hospital. Ability to effectively/calmly communicate during high-stress situations.

Salary: From $16.90 to $18.00 per hour
