Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Family Law Attorney role based in York, PA. The Family Law Attorney will manage a caseload involving matters such as divorce, custody, support, and related family law issues from initial consultation through resolution. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, analyzing case facts, providing legal advice, drafting pleadings, motions, and agreements, and preparing and presenting cases in court. The attorney will conduct legal research, handle discovery, participate in depositions, and collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and timely case management. The role also involves regular communication with opposing counsel, participation in settlement negotiations, and maintaining detailed records and documentation in compliance with firm policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Family Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes, case law, and court rules.
- Demonstrated experience addressing a broad range of Legal Issues in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and protection orders.
- Proficiency in drafting, filing, and arguing Motions in family court, including temporary orders and post-judgment relief.
- Experience preparing/managing discovery and evidence for hearings and trials.
- Excellent oral and written advocacy skills, including client counseling, negotiation, and courtroom presentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to respectful, and non-judgmental client service, with high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Prior experience in a family law practice or clerkship is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow within the practice is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
