About the role
This is an execution role, not a sales-vision role. The vision, the strategy, and the relationships already exist. What we need is someone who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, who follows up when follow-up is due, who keeps the pipeline honest, and who treats an unanswered thread as a personal affront.
The work itself is async in nature, email, Slack, and LinkedIn, but this is a full-time, on-site role at our space in Bounce Innovation Hub in Akron, working alongside the founder and our production lead.
Much of the role runs through the podcast, which makes you the operator of our most important growth engine. You will work directly with the founder and closely with our Operations and Production Lead, who runs the show's production. You own what happens around the show, before guests arrive and after episodes air.
What you will own
Podcast guest pipeline. Research and outreach to prospective guests, scheduling, prep documents before each episode, and a consistent post-show follow-up sequence that turns every guest into a lasting relationship.
Inbound triage. Comments, DMs, viewer questions, and warm leads generated by the show and by the founder's LinkedIn presence get logged, triaged, and answered inside defined response windows.
CRM hygiene. Every contact, lead, and next step lives in our tracking system, current and trustworthy at all times. If it is not in the system, it did not happen.
Conference follow-through. Systematic follow-up on contacts from industry events throughout the year, with a next step attached to every conversation worth keeping.
Sponsor prospecting. Once the show has a few episodes of proof, you help package sponsorship materials and run prospect outreach for show sponsors.
Async execution. Drafting and sending outreach and follow-up in the company voice, managing sequences, and keeping communication moving across email, Slack, and LinkedIn without waiting to be asked.
What good looks like
Every podcast guest receives prep before the show and a thank-you with a clear next step within 48 hours after it.
No inbound lead from the show, LinkedIn, or a conference sits unanswered past its response window. The founder can open the tracking system on any day and trust what it says about the pipeline. Within a quarter, sponsorship conversations exist because you started them.
Who you are
Relentlessly organized, and genuinely bothered by loose ends.
A strong, natural writer who can match an established voice and sound like a person, not a template.
Comfortable working async, managing your own queue, and communicating proactively about status and blockers.
Experienced with LinkedIn as a professional channel, and quick to learn light CRM and scheduling tools.
Interested in technology or media, enough to hold a credible conversation with a guest or a sponsor. Deep expertise is not required, curiosity is.
