Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations in a direct primary care office. This energetic position combines clinical duties with front-office responsibilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to support diverse medical specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and screening exams. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare exam rooms, assist providers during examinations, and perform basic clinical procedures including phlebotomy and several screening exams ie: Pulmonary function testing, EKG, Eye exams, Audiology, Grip Strength, medication administration.
- Manage patient documentation meticulously, including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed medical documentation for compliance and billing purposes.
- Support intake processes by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office support or medical assisting within busy healthcare settings such as dermatology, urgent care, or hospital medicine.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding to ensure precise documentation and communication.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and other healthcare management software.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Excellent patient service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Familiarity with medical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and intake procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments like urgent care or office settings.

Pay: $23.64 - $28.47 per hour
