Duties
- Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining experience for all guests.
- Lead staff training sessions on food handling, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and customer service techniques to foster a knowledgeable team.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure smooth restaurant flow during busy hours while maintaining high service standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and assist with profit and loss analysis to support business growth.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a strong hospitality team aligned with company values.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management within quick service or fast food environments.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing hospitality teams in casual dining or fine dining settings.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes to optimize profitability.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervising experience in restaurant management with a focus on shift management and staff development.
- Background in catering, banquet service, or hotel food service is a plus; barista or coffee experience is desirable but not required.
