Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to cultivate and demonstrate our resort’s culture, mission, and vision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pivotal role in the process and management of biweekly payroll alongside the Payroll Administrator
- Manages the administration of health, dental, vision, disability, group term life insurances, and COBRA
- Respond to unemployment requests along with DOL and employment verifications, all while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist in the coordination, organization, monitoring and maintaining of Human Resources projects & processes
- Assists with employee relations, including birthday/anniversary gifts, monthly newsletter, retirement parties, yearly celebrations, etc.
- Provide guidance to team members by answering all Human Resource related questions
- Assist recruiter with the recruitment/hiring process by attending job fairs, conducting interviews and orientations, and onboarding new hires
- Maintain personnel records and files—both in paper and database to ensure all employment requirements are met
- Provide support and advice to team leaders on employee relations issues
- Conduct initial employee relations investigations, document findings, and partner with HR team to resolve workplace concerns
- Support other Human Resource department functions and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years’ prior work experience in human resources, or a combination of HR related education and HR work experience is required
- Experience with Payroll and HRIS platforms is preferred
- Previous experience in the hospitality or service-related industry is preferred
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Be seen as a professional yet approachable leader
- Ability to stay calm and professional in uncomfortable or escalated situations
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects, alongside ever-changing priorities
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and together works collaboratively to accomplish the goals of the department and of the overall organization.
