Hourly Rate: $24.39-$28.69 (Depending on qualifications)
Hawaiʻi Technology Academy (HTA) is seeking reliable, flexible, and student-centered Substitute Teachers to support instruction at our ʻEwa and Waipahu learning centers. Under the general supervision of campus administration, Substitute Teachers provide classroom supervision and instructional support for students in grades K–12 when regular teachers are absent. The ideal candidate is adaptable, maintains a positive learning environment, and supports HTA’s mission of personalized, blended learning.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable transportation to the ʻEwa and Waipahu campuses.
Applicants must possess at least ONE of the following credentials:
Strong classroom management and student supervision skills.
Ability to follow written lesson plans and instructions precisely.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs, schedules, and grade levels.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and educational technology.
School environment with exposure to typical classroom conditions.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom for extended periods.
May require occasional lifting and carrying of classroom materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to actively engage and supervise students in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Subject to all applicable state and federal employment regulations, including non-discrimination and safety standards.
Successful completion of a background check, federal and state clearances, TB clearance, verification of education and employment history, and the ability to meet all State employment eligibility requirements.
