RESTAURANT MANAGER

Sea Story Sushi is hiring an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team!
Sea Story is a Vegas and New York-inspired premium all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant featuring sushi, hibachi, ramen, yakitori, and a full-service dining experience. We operate in a high-volume, extremely fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a strong restaurant leader who thrives on the floor, leads from the front, and knows how to keep a busy operation organized and moving.
This is not a desk management position. Our managers are expected to be actively involved in service, support the team during peak volume, interact with guests, maintain standards, and take ownership of the restaurant during their shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
- Manage a high-volume dining room while maintaining service, food quality, and cleanliness standards
- Coach, develop, and hold FOH team members accountable to company expectations
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor and assist wherever needed during peak service
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities to the team
- Monitor guest experience and proactively resolve complaints or service issues
- Perform regular table touches and build relationships with our guests
- Manage comps, voids, discounts, refires, and other service recovery situations
- Maintain proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling and labor management
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, side work, uniform, and service standards
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Work closely with the kitchen, sushi bar, expo, hosts, servers, bussers, bartenders, and food runners to maintain smooth service
- Help manage inventory, restaurant supplies, and operational controls
- Protect company policies, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention standards
- Maintain a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture
- Perform additional management responsibilities as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of proven restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
- High-volume restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Asian restaurant, sushi, AYCE, or full-service restaurant experience is a major plus
- Must be comfortable managing an extremely fast-paced and high-volume operation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be confident coaching employees and holding team members accountable
- Strong guest-service and service-recovery skills
- Must be organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with Toast POS and Toast handheld systems strongly preferred
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms preferred
- Basic understanding of restaurant labor, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and operational controls
- Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and peak restaurant hours
- Must meet all legal requirements for employment and provide valid work authorization documentation
- Must be dependable, professional, and capable of remaining calm under pressure

Sea Story is building a management team for a restaurant designed to do serious volume. We are looking for leaders who want to grow with the concept and play an important role in developing the restaurant, its team, and its culture.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
