Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash registers and POS systems.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and products to effectively upsell and enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Supervise and assist in training new cashiers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage stock levels by assisting with inventory checks and restocking shelves as needed.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns.
- Utilize basic math skills to ensure accurate cash handling and change distribution.
- Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating bilingual skills when applicable to assist a diverse clientele.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
- Ability to upsell products and services effectively to enhance sales opportunities.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, with bilingual abilities being an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock and inventory levels.
