Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and current medications, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers during procedures, including imaging and minor surgical interventions.
- Support physicians with medication administration, wound care, and other clinical tasks aligned with your physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and coordinating follow-up care in various specialties such as PCP office, internal medicine, hospitals, etc.
- Answer telephone calls, perform general office and clerical works.
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment plans clearly and accurately.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and respond promptly to emergency situations within outpatient or inpatient settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital environments; preferably with 1 to 3 years minimum experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
- Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, conducting, assisting with procedures.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital medicine are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
