Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s unique learning needs and goals
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to enhance understanding and engagement
- Utilize innovative learning technology to create interactive and effective lessons
- Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Plan lessons that incorporate best practices in early childhood education, special education as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to coordinate educational strategies and share progress updates
- Support and encourage homework completion as well as studying for upcoming assessments.
Requirements
- Proven experience with tutoring, teaching, or classroom management across diverse age groups (active teaching degree/certification)
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional techniques
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources for education
- Experience working with children, including preschool or early childhood education settings
- Background in special education or experience supporting students with unique learning needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate learners
- Ability to foster a supportive atmosphere for all students
- Prior experience working with students in childcare or adult education environments is advantageous
- Insurance is a must!
Our business is looking for Math tutors willing to sign on under 1099 contracts. You make your own schedule, but will tutor students at our learning center location. NY State Teaching Certification and experience is a MUST!
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
