Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Unit Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for supervising and coordinating the care and services provided by nursing facility staff to meet resident's needs. Promotes patient care by directing and developing staff and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff. The Unit Manager ensures and models excellent customer service, physical, and psychological support for residents and their family members. Follows all facility policies and procedures and performs duties as outlined by his/her DON.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
- Maintains customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual residents and their family members.
- Takes call one day a week.
2. Identifies in-house residents at risk for hospital readmission
- Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results.
- Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Protects patients and employees by enforcing infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

8. Oversees resident admissions, discharges, leaves of absence (LOAs), and coordinates transportation for resident appointments.
9. Assists with various tasks when nursing demand is heightened with high level patients.
10. All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Pay: $34.00 - $50.00 per hour
