About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with journal entries and payroll, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Process and reconcile payroll entries and related accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with royalty accounting (experience is a plus but not required)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including journal entry preparation
- Experience with payroll accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Exposure to royalty accounting is a plus
- Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
