Window & Door Installer
Position Summary
Pella Windows & Doors of Dayton is seeking a dependable, motivated Window & Door Installer to join our installation team. In this role, you will install high-quality Pella windows and doors in both new construction and replacement projects while delivering an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, values teamwork, and is committed to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Pella windows and doors according to company installation standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Review work orders, measurements, and project specifications before beginning installation.
- Secure windows and doors properly to ensure optimal performance and long-term durability.
- Perform installation adjustments and warranty or recovery work as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the installation process.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and coworkers, representing Pella in a positive manner.
- Work collaboratively with the installation team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all company safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment, and report safety concerns promptly.
- Consistently deliver high-quality workmanship with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- At least one year of construction experience preferred.
- Clean driving record to drive company vehicles to perform this job successfully.
- Experience installing windows and doors is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of general construction practices and terminology.
- Experience with carpentry, siding, coil work, and caulking is a plus.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, including cordless drills/drivers, levels, and nail guns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn new installation techniques and processes.
- Adaptable to changing processes, priorities, and customer needs.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the day.
- Ability to climb and work from extension ladders and elevated work areas. If you are uncomfortable working at heights, this position may not be the right fit.
- Ability to safely follow OSHA fall protection requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
