Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Event Decorator to transform venues into stunning, memorable spaces for a variety of events. Duties
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, theme, and specific decor preferences for each event
- Design and plan decor layouts, selecting appropriate color schemes, floral arrangements, linens, lighting, and accessories to enhance event aesthetics
- Manage the procurement of decor materials, including negotiating with vendors and upselling additional decorative elements to elevate the overall look
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of decor at event venues, ensuring timely and precise execution according to plan
- Coordinate with event management teams, catering staff, and venue personnel to ensure seamless integration of decor with other event components
- Maintain detailed project timelines and manage budgets effectively using event management software and CRM systems
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, addressing their needs promptly, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the planning process
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event decorating, hospitality industry roles such as banquet or restaurant experience preferred
- Strong skills in negotiation, upselling, and event marketing strategies to maximize client satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), event management software, and CRM systems for organizing projects and client information
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members
- Demonstrated ability in managing event budgets, contracts, catering arrangements, and venue logistics
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality environments is highly desirable; experience in fundraising or guest services is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under tight deadlines
- Leadership qualities that enable effective team management during setup and teardown processes
- Technical proficiency in decorating techniques, lighting design, floral arrangements, and banquet setup
