Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately, including cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all tools and supplies are stocked and ready for service.
- Use POS systems such as Toast to process orders efficiently and handle cash or card transactions securely.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through excellent time management skills during busy hours.
- Engage with guests to promote specials, upsell beverages, and enhance overall customer experience.
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure safety and responsible alcohol service in accordance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with team members across food service, catering, banquet events, or nightclub settings to deliver seamless service.
- Assist in setting up for events such as banquets or private parties when needed.
- Follow all health regulations related to food safety and cleanliness standards consistently.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS or Clover POS for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for diverse guests.
- Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with legal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing or mixing cocktails is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members across various roles within the hospitality industry.
