MATHEMATICS TEACHER
MIDDLE SCHOOL (6TH GRADE)
POSTING Position: Mathematics Teacher at Driver Middle High School (6th Grade) for the 2026-2027 school year
Qualifications:
1. Must hold a valid Indiana Teaching License in language arts for grades 6-8.
2. Ability to develop rapport and demonstrate professionalism with middle school students, parents, staff, and the community.
3. Flexibility and expertise to adjust for various situations or student learning needs.
4. Positive Role Model
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, faculty and administration
6. Organizational skills required
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop lesson plans and deliver effective instruction.
2. Utilize best practices in the classroom and participate in professional development to grow as a professional educator.
3. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning with age appropriate expectations and opportunities for growth.
4. Develop effective lesson plans for management of behavior.
5. Exhibit positive human relations skills with parents and faculty, and present self as a professional educator.
6. Deliver appropriate instruction that follows state standards and curriculum mapping.
7. Differentiate instruction to meet individual student learning styles
8. Willingness to coach, sponsor, or supervise extra-curricular activities.
9. Integrate math, science, social studies, and any other content area on a regular basis.
10. Effectively implement one-to-one use of instructional technology
