Permanent Install Tech I
This Is 2 non-supervisory position. The Permanent Install Tech I is accountable for the safety, quality, and efficiency of their work. The Permanent Install Tech I reports directly to the Permanent Install Crew Chief.

EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Required: Valid state issued driver's license in good standing

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
1. Ability to accept direction and feedback from Permanent Install Crew Chief and follow through appropriately
2. Ability to adjust to changes in work tasks or environment
3. Ability to read, understand and carry questions when instructions are unclear
4. Ability to read, understand and carry out verbal instructions and present questions when instructions are unclear
5. Ability to maintain a positive attitude
6. Mechanical aptitude, performing routine maintenance and repair on equipment
7. Map reading skills with the ability to find locations, navigate to job sites and navigate back to warehouse
8. Complete deliveries when needed
9. Knowledge of various tools and equipment used in the field and ability
to select the appropriate tool or equipment to perform task at hand
10. Ability to operate in an organized and time efficient manner
11.Abllity to speak clearly and convey information to others in an effective manner
12.Ability to take direction from Permanent Install Crew Chief or take initiative if exact direction has not been assigned
13. Ability to work extended hours, days, and weekends when necessary
14. Reading, writing and arithmetic skills
PHYSICAL
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
BODY POSITIONS: Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing job functions.
BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of their hands to fingers, handle equipment and tools. The ability to bend the body, crouch, kneel and crawl to reach
for objects is required.
BODY SENSES: The employee must have command of the following senses: sight, hearing, and touch. Specific abilities include: vision must be able to discern colors, as well as depth perception.
STRENGTH: The employee must have the ability to lift 75 pounds with regularity.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires the employee to work indoors in a smoke-free non-climate controlled environment, but mostly outdoors in conditions that may range from hot to cold and rainy at times. Travel to the warehouse, office
and jobsites may be in all types of weather conditions including rain, snow and icy conditions.
AUTHORITY
The Permanent Install Tech I is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities assigned, approved or delegated by the Permanent Install Crew Chief or Permanent Install Operations Manager. Such authority may include:
Report any abuse of the Company's policies and procedures to Supervisor or other members of Management
Authority to enforce the Company's Safety Policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary functional duties and responsibilities of the Permanent Install Tech I include but not limited to:
1. Arrive at the Warehouse, shop or yard and be prepared to work at the beginning of the shift
2. Follow work instruction to ensure consistent service and product quality
3. Recommend measures to Improve efficiency, service quality, product quality, and safety
4. Maintain all work areas, vehicles and work sites in a neat and orderly fashion
5. Load, secure and unload materials and equipment on site
6. Notify Permanent Install Crew Chief or supervisor on site of any quality or safety related concerns
7. Keep Permanent Install Crew Chief informed on all ongoing activities
8. Demonstrate initiative by evaluating situations, making decisions based on facts and solid judgments
9. Act in a manner that represents the professional manner reflecting the company’s values and principles
10. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with employees
11.Constantly look for and suggest ways to perform duties and responsibilities more effectively, what we call “Act Like an Owner.”
12. Perform duties in a manner that is compliant with all applicable regulatory bodies, i.e. Texas DOT.
13.Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the Permanent Install Crew Chief or other supervisors.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
The Traffic Control Tech I shall be deemed to be performing in an acceptable manner when the following have been accomplished:
1. The Permanent Install Crew Chief is kept informed of daily activity
2. Projects and Deliveries are completed to satisfaction of Customers
3. Zero safety violations or incidents within the employee's control
4. Ensure materials and supplies from Permanent Install Crews meet Company expectations
5. Successful completion of ATSSA Traffic Control & Guardrail Technician Certification within 24 months
6. Attendance and participation at Company Meetings
7. Other tasks assigned by the Permanent Install Crew Chief are performed in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
