About the Role
Stopwatch Urgent Care is hiring multiple physicians (MD or DO) for our urgent care clinics across Alabama. You will provide direct patient care in a walk-in urgent care setting. Tell us which location you prefer when you apply.
Pay and Schedule
- $115 to $140 per hour base, depending on experience
- Productivity incentives above base pay
- 3 shifts per week
- No on-call
- Rotating weekends with schedules published in advance
- Flexible scheduling through our online platform
What You Will Do
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a walk-in urgent care setting
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and point-of-care lab studies
- Prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Complete all documentation same-day in the Experity EMR
- Collaborate with the on-site clinical and administrative team
Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO licensed in Alabama, or eligible for AL licensure
- Board certified and in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Non-excluded from Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
- DOT Medical Examiner certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of start
Preferred:
- Urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- DOT Medical Examiner certification already active
