Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cognitive Assessment Technician/Psychometrist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. This part-time Neuropsychology Cognitive Assessment Technician/Psychometrist role involves administering and scoring cognitive assessments to adults and geriatric patients with possible neurological and psychological conditions, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, Strokes, Multiple Sclerosis Traumatic Brain Injury, Depression , Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety.
Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred. Experience in clinical neuropsychological testing also preferred. The role includes providing behavioral observations; collaborating with neuropsychologists, support staff, and doctoral students; maintaining confidentiality; and performing administrative tasks.
Experience and Education Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree required. Degree in psychology or related behavioral science area preferred.
· Preferably, candidates will possess experience in the administrative and scoring of standardized neuropsychological tests in a clinical setting, including measures of specific cognitive abilities (including memory, attention, language, executive functioning, and visual spatial processing).
· Clerical skills, database entry proficiency, and strong written communication.
Responsibilities:
· The psychometrician will administer and score neuropsychological assessments to Young adult through geriatric populations with neurological conditions and/or psychological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, NPH, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety.
· The psychometrician will also provide behavioral observations for all patients assessed.
· The psychometrician will work directly with the neuropsychologist.
· The psychometrician is expected to work professionally with all patients, patients families, and office staff.
· The psychometrician is expected to ensure confidentiality and security of testing materials.
· The psychometrician works independently, efficiently, and in an organized manner to maintain their duties in a high-volume practice.
· The psychometrician engages in administrative/clerical duties.
