Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be vital in ensuring efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and passionate about precision machining.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes and milling centers, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts accurately.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools, tooling setups, and calibration procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with assembly teams and quality control to ensure parts meet all specifications and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines; familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software for toolpath creation and editing.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical drawing analysis.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feed rates, speeds, and tolerances required for machining tasks.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Join us in producing high-quality components through innovative machining techniques! We value safety, precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement — all essential ingredients for success in this vital role.
