Position Title: Team ChairpersonLocation: Warren Community Elementary Reports to: Director of Student Support Services/Building AdministrationFunded by: General BudgetQualifications: MA License as Special Education Teacher or related field and/or Special Education Administrator Minimum of 5 years working with special education students in a professional capacityStrong knowledge and application of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations and lawsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and respond effectively within timelinesResponsibilities: Chair all building-based IEP Team meetingsSchedule all IEP meetings within mandated timelinesSupervise and help to complete all IEP paperwork within required timelinesAttend weekly Team Chair meetings with Director Maintain special education recordsEnsure all IEP paperwork is provided to parents within required timelinesSupervise the implementation of IEPs Supervise the completion and distribution of progress reportsWork collaboratively with administration regarding placement of studentsWork collaboratively with staff on transitionAssist in planning and proctoring for MCASAssist in assigning special education paraprofessional schedulesDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with regular education teachers, special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school and district administratorsAssume an active role in promoting and maintaining sound relationships with parents to strengthen home/school relationshipsAssist Director in meeting requirements of state and federal audits, Integrated Monitoring Review, Problem Resolution System, and other required documentation as assignedObserve high ethical and professional standards in the discharge of all responsibilitiesPerform other duties as are appropriate to the role of Team Chairperson as assigned by the Building Administrator / Director of Student Support ServicesMaintain confidentialitySalary: As per agreement between Quaboag Regional School District and the QEAClosing date: Open until filledStart date: August 28, 2026Apply to: Dr. Kirsten Esposito, Director of Student Support Services Quaboag Regional School District P.O.
