Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic HVAC Master Technician to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. This pivotal role requires a proactive professional with extensive field service experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R systems efficiently. As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal system performance, adhering to safety standards, and mentoring junior technicians. Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, and calibration using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Lead complex projects involving HVAC/R system upgrades or new installations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs; communicate findings clearly to clients and team members.
- Support property maintenance activities by performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent future issues.
- Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge on topics such as mechanical systems, schematics interpretation, refrigeration techniques, and welding procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction environments or property maintenance settings.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, plumbing systems, refrigeration processes (including ammonia refrigeration), and boiler operation.
- Mechanical experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely across various job sites.
- Familiarity with field service procedures involving appliance repair and property upkeep is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with mechanical systems such as air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia-based systems), and related components.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments and compliance with industry standards. Pay: $100,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
