Busy medical office with patient-focused philosophy needs front desk administrator with primary responsibility for appointments, phones, insurance verification and triage. The ideal candidate would be friendly, courteous, reliable, professional and able to multitask. The candidate must be a team player and demonstrate strong computer skills, as well as providing excellent customer service. Experience in a medical office preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Office hours are Mon-Thurs 7:40 am-5pm and Fridays 7:40 am-1pm No weekend hours
Starting pay is dependent on experience and applicable skills
EXPERIENCE/RESPONSIBILITES:
- Greeting patients
- Check in patients, verify and update patient data as needed
- Providing excellent customer service while collecting co-pays and deductibles
- Scheduling appointments, both over the phone and in person (requires the ability to collect detailed information accurately)
- Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility
- Answering multi-line phone system
- Triage of medical eye problems
- Assisting with the general flow of patient data and patient product orders
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient health information
- Must be computer proficient
- Must have the ability to function in a fast paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with the public in a customer service or healthcare setting
- Ability to communicate calmly and clearly with others
- Ability to follow office guidelines of care and customer service
- Ability to operate office equipment including multi-line telephone and computer with various software
- Must be able to arrive each day in time to prep the workspace and reception area for patients
