SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide overall support to the Field Measurement team in terms of scheduling, project management, process control, process improvement, training and team development while being able to design change Parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following.
FIELD MEASUREMENT / DESIGN ENGINEER (In addition to Designer requirements)
· Utilize Solid Works to its limit in the process of finding new ways to obtain field measurement information.
· Execute job responsibilities without daily direction and supervision
· Work on special projects as requested by management
· Schedule and plan field measurements
· Review the field measurements other associates conduct and provide appropriate feedback
· Assist and train other less experienced field measurement resources in their development
· Maintain and update machine measurement library as appropriate
· Utilize ERP system to track and optimize project completions
· Utilize Solid Works to design change parts and other product line offerings when not traveling
· Travel to customer facilities 50%-75% of work time.
· Be able to learn how to run a 3D scanner and appropriate software
· Be able to use thread pitch gauges, calipers and other hand-held measurement devices to document machines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree from a two-year or four-year college or university; plus a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER / PC SKILLS
Associate must possess literacy and proficiency in Solid Works 3D design software, as well as, an ability to effectively utilize MS Word, MS Excel and MS Mail / Exchange. Associate is expected to develop appropriate knowledge of our ERP system as required to perform his/her duties.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, interpret and apply technical data, drawings and reports to the design of change parts as would be expected within the packaging and design profession. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, other associates and members of the packaging, design and business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply common mathematical concepts required to practical design situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to appropriately interpret technical data, anticipate design issues such as interferences and develop appropriate designs.

No professional certifications are required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. However, the associate will be expected to spend time in manufacturing and will be required to observe all applicable safety procedures deemed appropriate by the company.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
