Job description:
Pay: 18.50-19.00 per hour
Machine Operator- Huntley IL,
Schedule
Mon-Friday (7am-3:30pm)
Summary:
With general supervision, Machine Operator sets-up the proper tooling needed to operate various machines per job specifications.
Duties :
- Reads work orders and follows the specific work requirements and machining instructions according to customer specifications;
- Set up machines to grind rails to a specified length;
- Disassembles ballnuts from shafts;
- Visually inspects each part before and after machining. Removes and sets aside all non-conforming products as per inspection control plan;
- Performs routine maintenance on machines;
- Completes required job tickets in a safe and efficient manner;
- Reports all non-conforming parts to their Supervisor;
- Loads individual parts per job specifications into their designated storage areas;
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area;
- Performs other work duties or functions as assigned;
- Cleans parts when finished;
- Measure products using a digital caliper and tape measure.
Skills:
- Ability to read simple drawings with tolerances;
- Must be able to perform physical duties: standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, etc.;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Good manual dexterity and agility;
- Strong basic math skills.
- Carrying and/or lifting up to 40 pounds
Machines, Tools, and Equipment:
- Inspection measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers), power tools, computer.
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
