As a Security Officer - Outdoor Retail Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by site.

Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior through visible presence and routine observation.

Support a welcoming environment by assisting visitors with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, hazards, and/or other unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
