Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Maintain the cash drawer, handle cash handling procedures, and balance registers at shift end
- Apply phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and promoting featured items
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Strong supervising experience or ability to oversee store activities when needed
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for diverse customer interactions
- Demonstrated ability in cashiering, cash drawer handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store experience is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math efficiently for sales reporting and inventory management
- Customer service-oriented attitude with effective phone etiquette and active listening skills
