Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Drive various types of freight including walking floor and van trailers
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining accurate logs of mileage, hours, and delivery details.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before hitting the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times while representing the company on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to drive route driving safely over long distances while managing time effectively.
