Job description:
The Home Energy Auditor position will be responsible for conducting residential energy audits to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Prior building or trades experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in energy auditing or related field is a plus
- Prior energy modeling experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Energy Efficiency and Energy Management preferred, but not required
Responsibilities & Job Requirements:
- Conduct BPI level blower door tests and energy audits of residential, multi-family, and commercial buildings daily.
- Document all audits performed thoroughly with notes and photos.
- Identify all potential risks discovered during audits and document them thoroughly for the customer and your internal colleagues.
- Develop cost effective energy efficiency measures using data collected onsite and utility approved modeling software.
- Produce proposals to customers for weatherization projects in a timely manner.
- Track customer communications and project statuses daily in company CRM system, ensuring any necessary follow-up.
- Network externally to build relationships with clients and contractors
- Report to the job site/office on time, alert, on a daily basis.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- This person should have no issue working in inclement weather conditions and not have a fear of heights or be claustrophobic.
Professional Licensing:
- It is required that you hold and maintain a BPI License for this role. If you do not hold one, we will provide the necessary training to attain one.
