Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team at the Residence Inn - Melville. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and common areas within our establishment. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and refreshments in guest rooms.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and stairwells.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to meet health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of hospitality standards and practices.
- Proficient in floor care techniques and equipment usage.
- Ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service expectations.
- Experience in industrial cleaning is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
