This position is responsible for building and prepping material orders for pick up and delivery.
Loading and unloading of landscape materials such as; sod, pavers, wall, decorative rock, soil, and construction aggregate into and out of vehicles and delivery trucks, from our landscape yard.
Maintaining a clean organized yard
Accepting returned material back in to inventory
We service Contractors , Landscapers and Homeowners.
This is an outside yard position. The ability to acclimate to the weather and seasons, work well with others ,and provide excellent customer service in a very busy, and at times, chaotic environment is expected.
Requirements:
- The ability to learn and recognize our many different types of material is necessary.
- Prior forklift experience (2 year preferred)
- Excellent math skills
- Construction industry knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to think critically and make appropriate decisions
- Must be able to speak and read English. Bilingual a major plus
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis
- Must be reliable and on time
Duties:
- Knowledge of information about manufacture’s products and their types and colors
- Loading and unloading of materials is done by hand, forklift, and front-end loader
- Fulfill orders for customer pick-ups, deliveries, and will calls
- Assist in inventory control
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the position
- Demonstrate excellent customer service to all
- Cultivate good relationships with customers
- Keep stockyard organized and clean
- Must be timely, responsible, and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to work
