Options for Community Living, Inc. is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team! An ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree related to business or Human Resources strongly preferred.
- One year of experience in an administrative role, interviewing or personnel administration is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize as well as multi-task.
- Experience with Canva preferred.

Salary Range: $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr.

Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing general support to the Human Resources Department. In addition, the HR Assistant helps to ensure that the agency's personnel policies and procedures are followed.
- Receive and respond to all general Human Resources phone calls. Answers questions when possible and route calls to appropriate staff members as necessary.

- Assist with maintenance of employee files according to federal record-keeping guidelines and ensure all forms are up to date, appropriate and properly affixed to folders.
- Assist with benefit administration filing and mailings in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Complete employment verification requests.
- Update learning management system with documentation expiration dates (i.e. TB test, auto insurance, First Aid, CPR, Narcan etc.). Update completed trainings as requested.
- Ensure there is an adequate supply of new hire and offer packets.
- Serve as backup for new employee first day orientation. Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
- Attend job fairs as needed. Assist with job fair registration and inventory supply as needed.
- Assist with recruitment efforts as needed.
- Create engaging, informative content for job fairs, HR agency events and other agency events as needed.
- Provide HR newsletter content to the Development department on a monthly basis.
- Maintain and update Telephone Extension List.
- Train and remain current on all applicable employment laws.
- Cross train on other HR functions and procedures.
- May perform other miscellaneous duties as required to ensure efficient operation of the HR department.
