Piano Teachers Wanted | Henderson Academy of Music
Greater Seattle Area – Seattle, Eastside, North End
I’m looking for passionate, patient, and engaging piano teachers who want to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. Most of our students are ages 4–12, many of them complete beginners. The most important qualities I’m looking for are patience, comfort working with children, and an encouraging, supportive teaching style.
You have the option to teach in students' homes, in your home or teaching studio, or both.
We are looking to hire teachers who are available long-term (2 years in the same location at the very least). Many of our students stay with us for years. Most of our students are kids so we are looking for teachers who have availability weekdays after school and/or weekends.
Experienced teachers are preferred, but I am also open to newer teachers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn. I can provide some training and guidance, especially for those working with younger beginners.
You don’t need to be a concert-level musician—most of our students are beginners. What matters most is that you are reliable, great with kids, and excited to help students grow at their own pace.
As an in-home private instructor, you have the option to either travel to students’ homes for lessons, teach from your home or teaching studio, or both. You choose your schedule and your service area—you’ll never be asked to drive farther than you want, and you only accept students who fit your availability. If you have a teaching space, you may also teach out of your home or studio.
We serve the Greater Seattle Area, including Seattle, the Eastside (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah), and the North End (Shoreline, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Everett). Wherever you live, we can connect you with nearby students.

- Reliable transportation for in-home lessons
