Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels to maintain optimal performance
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo weight, and delivery details for compliance purposes
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any vehicle issues that arise during shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) A OR B mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and confidently
- Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling best practices
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading heavy cargo efficiently
- Ability to work independently in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
