Job Title: After School and Summer Program Director

Schedule: Monday–Friday (Afternoon–Evening during school year; Daytime during summer)

Oak Forest Childcare is a financially self supporting outreach ministry of Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Our goal is to offer quality, faith-based childcare at an affordable cost for children of various ages. The program provides experiences to help elementary and middle school aged children develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. This goal is achieved by offering age-appropriate activities guided by experienced, caring staff. We are a multi-faceted childcare facility, offering the following: Elementary Age After School Program, Middle School After School Program, Elementary Age Summer Camp, Middle School Summer Camp, and Half-Day Preschool. Position Summary:
The Program Director will oversee all aspects of our After School and Summer Programs, including curriculum planning, staff supervision, student engagement, compliance, and communication with families. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance administrative duties with relationship building and hands-on program involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate creative, age-appropriate programming for both after school and summer sessions
- Hire, train, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols
- Create and manage program budgets in coordination with leadership
- Working in Procare software to invoice tuition and fees, and interact with families on their accounts.
- Annual enrollment in after school and summer camp programs.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with families and school partners
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for students and staff
- Monitor student behavior and provide support for social-emotional development
- Coordinate field trips, enrichment activities, and special events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in business, education, Child Development, Recreation, Early Childhood Developement or related field (preferred)

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and administrative and/or financial experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background Check required.
- NC Driver’s License is required with a clean driving record.
Competitive salary based on experience.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
