In this role, you will engage with shoppers, showcase beautiful furniture, mattress and accessories, and help customers find the perfect pieces to transform their homes. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will drive sales, build customer loyalty, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. This is a hybrid commission/hourly position.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting furniture or mattresses that meet their needs and preferences through product demonstration and personalized recommendations
- Operate the cash register and computer system to handle sales transactions accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of store products, current promotions, and inventory levels to assist customers effectively
- Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries professionally and direct calls appropriately
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Bilingual abilities are valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and cash handling is helpful
