Now Hiring: 2nd Shift Lead Process Technician

Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM 6-7 days a week
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Process Technician to join our 2nd shift operations at our Shelby Township plant.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in injection molding and robotics, particularly Yushin and Fanuc systems. All molding presses on-site are Toshiba Electric.
Key Responsibilities
Shift Operations & Leadership
Oversee and manage all operations for the 2nd shift
Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient production environment
Lead mold changes, successful startups, and shutdown quality
Maximize shift output in Good Parts Per Hour (GPPH)
Process & Quality Assurance
Ensure parting line cleanings are completed at least once per shift
Maintain product quality through process limits, auto reject alarms, and inspections
Utilize First and Last Shot Check Sheets, Control Plan Checks, SPC charting, and Process Monitoring
Communication & Team Collaboration
Actively participate in Manufacturing Team and Quality Operating System meetings
Communicate shift metrics and process goals to team members
Provide successful shift hand-off to the next shift, including raw material prep and floor readiness
Conduct employee evaluations and contribute to ongoing process improvement
Additional Responsibilities
Support new process development and robotic programming
Assist with tooling reviews, warehouse coordination, and quality inspections
Help maintain tooling/equipment and support shipment prep
Engage in continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing areas
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on injection molding/process technician experience
Proficiency in Yushin and Fanuc robotic systems
Familiarity with Toshiba Electric presses
High school diploma or GED
Strong understanding of process troubleshooting and quality standards
Preferred:
Computer and automation training
Experience with decoupled molding (RJG)
SPC knowledge and Control Plan adherence
Robotic programming experience
