Based in Washington, DC, the Director, Federal Government Affairs will represent Boehringer Ingelheim before federal officials and serve as an integral member of the Federal Government Affairs team. This role will lead engagement with Democratic lawmakers and staff on the House Ways & Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, as well as with other key Democratic offices influencing health policy, as well as footprint members.
The Director will be responsible for shaping and executing advocacy strategies tied to high-priority issues under the jurisdiction of Ways & Means and Finance, including Medicare policy, reimbursement, provider and payment issues, tax-related healthcare policy, trade-related implications, and broader market access frameworks.
