Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise classroom staff, ensuring effective classroom management and adherence to curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler, and infant care.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications.
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support for disabilities.
- Coordinate staff training on child development instruction, behavior management, caregiving techniques, and classroom best practices.
- Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns promptly.
- Oversee daily operations such as enrollment, scheduling, record keeping, and ensuring all activities meet licensing requirements.

Skills
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies.
- Certification in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and CPR; experience with emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with special education needs and working effectively with children requiring additional support or accommodations.
- Excellent classroom management skills coupled with the ability to lead a team of educators confidently.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings with classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Ability to foster positive behavior management strategies that promote social-emotional growth.
