Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing patient care, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, with experience in various clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and post-surgical cases.
- Perform manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities under supervision.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions.
- Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide encouragement.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) management by updating patient information consistently and securely.
- Support discharge planning processes by preparing comprehensive reports on patient progress.
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation requirements and adhere to clinical assessment documentation standards.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advancements in physiotherapy techniques and medical terminology.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health preferred.
- Proficiency in physiotherapy treatment implementation including manual therapy and trigger point therapy.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation.
- Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
- Knowledge of orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
