Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and performing preventative and responsive maintenance to equipment and facility grounds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs preventive maintenance in order to maximize equipment life, and minimize equipment breakdowns to increase production efficiency.
Ensures that all equipment, tools, and facility grounds are kept in safe and in working condition according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Rebuilds and maintains stock parts.
Ensures all work areas of responsibility are safe, organized, and clean at all times.
Maintains inventory of tools and ensures proper storage of tools at the end of each daily shift.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Two years experience preferrable in plumbing and/or electrical work.
Ability to read and write in English.
Working mechanical and electrical (PLC) knowledge, and interpretation of electrical schematics.
Ability to follow instructions, diagrams, and operating guides to set up equipment to specifications.
Must have exceptional attendance.
Ability to adapt to changes in work requirements and responsibilities.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Ability to work the required daily and weekly hours as determined by the supervisor and production schedule.
Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
Stands and walks up to ten hours per day on a concrete surface.
Performs twisting and rotation motions using head/neck, waist, knees, and arms.
Must have corrected vision to be aware of surroundings and to perform various job duties.
Must be able to withstand environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, and high levels of noise.
Must be able to work in cramped spaces, and heights of more than ten feet.
A valid driver’s license is required due to driving being a key component of this position.
