What You'll Do
As a Level II Veterinary Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced veterinary assistants, licensed veterinary nurses, and veterinarians while providing high-quality patient care throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include:
- Safe patient handling and restraint
- Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital
- Laundry and hospital sanitation
- Surgical instrument cleaning and preparation
- Running in-house laboratory diagnostics
- Preparing laboratory samples
- Drawing up vaccines and medications under supervision
- Assisting during appointments
- Supporting surgery and dentistry
- Caring for hospitalized patients
- Monitoring recovering patients and recognizing changes that require veterinary or nursing attention
- Assisting with anesthetic preparation and patient monitoring appropriate to experience and training
- Medical record assistance
- Inventory management and stocking
- Client communication and education

Experience
Previous veterinary assistant experience is required.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a veterinary hospital and is comfortable with fundamental veterinary assistant responsibilities, including patient restraint, laboratory diagnostics, hospitalized patient care, surgery and dentistry support, and basic patient monitoring. Candidates who are eager to continue developing their technical skills—including anesthetic monitoring—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Our pay range reflects varying levels of experience and may be negotiable based on qualifications.

- Full-time
- Four-day work week posted in advance (90 days)
- Rotating Saturdays (approximately 4–6 Saturdays per year)
