Description:
The Facilities Specialist supports MACC by maintaining leased and owned facilities, completing repairs, coordinating vendors, managing organizational assets, and maintaining safe, clean, and functional work environments. This position performs preventative maintenance, construction support, technology installation, and facility improvement projects while working independently and collaboratively with program staff and contractors.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Conduct routine facility inspections.
- Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and specialty contractors.
- Install office technology including TVs, monitors, projectors, computers, security cameras, and access control equipment.
- Maintain organizational assets, equipment, and maintenance inventories.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked maintenance shop.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and organizational safety standards.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly.
- Assist with remodeling projects, office moves, and facility improvements.
- Perform grounds and exterior property maintenance.
- Drive to facilities across MACC's multi-county service area to provide service.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, program sites, maintenance areas, storage areas, and exterior grounds.
- Regular travel driving the MACC work vehicle between MACC locations is required.
- Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, cleaning products, weather conditions, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, ladders, and active construction or maintenance areas.
- Must be able to safely operate hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and vehicles as needed.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and position equipment, furniture, supplies, and materials, typically up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance or appropriate equipment.
- May be required to work from ladders, perform overhead work, respond to urgent maintenance needs, and adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Two or more years of facilities maintenance, construction, building maintenance, or handyman experience preferred.
- Experience using power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and building systems.
- Experience installing or supporting office technology and low-voltage systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and develop practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience using work order or asset management software preferred.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Class A or Class B license is preferred but not required.
