We are looking for a versatile professional who is knowledgeable in all aspects of survey mapping and who prioritizes accuracy while dealing with multiple projects in the. The Head of Mapping will work with a team of surveyors, engineers and field crews to manage survey projects.
The candidate considered for this role is to be hardworking, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Organization of mapping worklog
- Knowledge of Record of Survey, Final/Tract Maps, Traditional Parcel Maps, SB9 Maps, Certificate of Compliance, Corner Record, Lot Line Adjustment/Merger requirements. – having knowledge of Bay Area counties is preferred
- Well versed in boundary calculations and boundary resolutions
- Prepare plat and legal descriptions with accompanying closure calculations for easement creation/abandonment, documenting property overlaps, etc.
- Work with project management and survey team to meet standards, timelines and budgets
- Handle submittal of all items listed above
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of office survey-related experience required (Experience in boundary resolution, ALTA and ACSM requirements, preparation of legal descriptions, plat & parcel maps, and Record of Surveys)
- Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS) is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Field survey-related experience or working with survey field crews is a plus
- Strong AutoCAD skills
