Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula tailored to various age groups and learning styles, ensuring alignment with educational standards and regulations.
- Lead engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate physical activities that promote cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, coordination, and motor skills development.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate students with special needs, including those with learning, emotional other developmental challenges, ensuring all students can participate fully.
- Manage behavior through effective behavior management strategies while fostering a positive and motivating environment that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and assessment strategies to support student performance data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Implement a robust health education program in line with the health education curriculum.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and achievements in physical education classes.
- Proven teaching experience in physical education or related fields within elementary, middle and high school.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Experience implementing IT-integrated lessons using Learning Management Systems and other educational technology tools.Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and differentiated instruction methods.
Educational Requirenents:
Bachelor of Education, Masters preferred, with a focus in physical education
Teaching license or Teaching Certification
Completion of NYS Teacher certification program
NYS Special Education certification

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
